Youth Communities

      We are trying to follow the same model of ministry that the rest of the church follows.  This means that the main avenue for involvement is through youth communities.  Since students see each other much more than adults do, we believe that this model can be very effective.  We believe that by empowering youth to reach for a greater ownership of their faith, they will be better able to discover who they are in Christ and find their passion to serve in his church.  Here's the 15 or so things students have said they would want to see if youth churches were going to be successful.  We want these things to be at the forefront of our minds as we live out the UP, IN and OUT biblical model.

1. Smaller, more intimate size
2. Food, snacks, meal
3. Build authentic relationships
4. Develop faith with other Christ followers
5. People who listen
6. A place where we are able to be open and share with each other (struggles, hurts)
7. A place where everybody loves each other with the love of Christ
8. A focus on service
9. A focus on prayer
10. Develop a Christ-like attitude
11. Unselfish
12. Equality for everyone
13. Everyone participates
14. Christ honoring
15. Sharing our faith
