EAST

Believing Jesus: The Class   Learn More
This will introduce you to the core DNA of Grace Gathering and train you in everyday ways to live and lead like Jesus. On top of that, it’s the first step in discovering how to get connect into leading or joining a group or missional community.

Church @ 9
Starts Sept 10 every Sunday morning in the Family Room at 9:00am. Church @ 9 creates a space for deep exploration of the scriptures, where we come together to share insights and perspectives that contribute to the growth and strengthening of the entire body, as exemplified in 1 Corinthians 14:26.

Tuesday Morning Study
Tuesday morning study is a discussion group that seeks to explore a number of topics found in scripture. In additions to the Bible, this group utilizes a variety of resources such as books, videos, and workbooks. Currently, this group is going through the study, “Gospel On The Ground: The Grit & Glory of The Church in Acts” Contact Jo Willer for more information: ibawe@aol.com. Fall Groups: The Prayer Course

NORTH

This Fall, Grace Gathering North will be going on a shared journey through The Prayer Course, an 8-week course through the Lord’s prayer (aka that moment when Jesus taught his followers and friends to pray like him). We want everyone to be a part of this journey in some way!

Groups start the last week of September (24-30) and run for 9 weeks. You can sign up here. (We even have a hybrid group option if enough people would be interested in doing most weeks on Zoom.)

EAST

The East Site Children’s Ministry is inviting you to a workshop led by Chris and Kathy Norman where you will discover that the primary goal of parenting is discipleship. This event is Saturday, September 23 from 9-11am, and you can register here.

This will be a 7-week study of Isaiah by Melissa Spoelstra. It is open to women from all sites. We will meet 7-8:30pm at East. Learn more and sign up here.

Buy Mums and Support Our Youth

We have a fantastic opportunity to support our youth ministry through a mums fundraiser this coming Sunday. You can buy mums in two ways:

  1. Use this link to pre-order a bundle of five mums at a discount: https://clr.cm/zlSK OR
  2. Purchase any number of flowers this Sunday, immediately following the service (cash or check).

Pickup is this Sunday at Grace Gathering East—whatever you purchase will benefit students going to retreats and camp this year!

Unity Night at Saint Francis

CHURCHWIDE

As many of you know, last Spring we had a joint worship service between Grace Gathering and St. Vincent Catholic Church. It was a full house and blessed so many people! We are doing another unity service with several protestant and catholic churches on Sept. 22 from 7:00-8:30 at the University of Saint Francis. All are welcome.

Hosting PrayerWorks

NORTH

As a congregation, we are hosting the PrayerWorks 24/7 prayer room on Saturday, September 23rd. Our signup form will be available soon, both here and on the app on the Events tab!

Chris’ Sabbatical Grant Approved!

CHURCHWIDE

Many of you have prayed over the last six months that Chris Norman’s Lilly Sabbatical grant proposal would be accepted. He recently found out it was approved!

This grant will be a blessing to our congregation and our entire city as he will travel to places next summer where there has been and still is significant worldwide prayer movements. Places like Israel, around Europe, and even South Korea’s Prayer Mountain in Seoul.

As this sabbatical gets closer, we will share more information on how we can pray and be involved in this unique opportunity for both Chris and our church family.
